This qualification is ideal if you are working in a new role in health and social care or you are volunteering in a similar setting. It is the minimum qualification of competency required by the Care Quality Commission the regulatory body for the health and social care sector in UK.

Career progression

This qualification is the full QCF (former NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care and is the qualification recognised by care providers, the CQC and the Nursing Universities. It is also possible to choose units to achieve the 60 credits required for entry for nursing qualifications. It also progresses to a diploma in leadership and management Level 5.
